Wolfgang is head of the Wiener Zeitung Academy at the Austrian newspaper “Wiener Zeitung”, the oldest, still existing newspaper of the world (founded 1703) owned by the Republic of Austria. His work is focused on the topic „knowledge development“ and in addition he evolves the thematic orientation of different discussion series in the field of science, culture and economy with partners like the European Forum Alpbach.
His career took him to exiting companies e.g. to the “Austrian Research Centers”, Austria’s largest applied research company, where he was head of corporate communications, or to “Austria Today”, a publishing house where he produced magazines in three different languages to create awareness for Austria in 170 countries around the world.
He gives lectures or supervises projects on different national and international universities e.g. at the University of Applied Arts / art & economy or at the Danube University / interactive media center. He is also one of the lecturers at the AJC Intensive Seminar at the Department of Communication at University of Vienna.
Wolfgang holds the degree “master of science” (MSc.) and is “academically certified advertising and marketing manager” of the University of Economics and Business. Furthermore he is awarded with an honorary doctorate of the Academy of Journalism and Communication Hanoi, Vietnam.
